Forgiveness

We hear a lot of quotes about forgiving and how to forgive others, but its rarely mentioned that the first step is to forgive ourselves.
For one reason or another and probably due to chilhood and environmental effects, most people tend to feel guilty for things they are not realy involved with, and if we notice that people usually use the word sorry in various situations to express thier sorrow for events they have no hand in.

We should accept that we are humans and we make mistakes, admit our mistakes and try our best not to repeat them, and most important of all is to release ourselves from guilt.

A very useful practice I learnt from Sahaja Yoga is touching the back of our neck and turning our head back and asking with free will the mighty supreme power for forgiveness.

A good practice that helps us to forgive others is to touch your forhead and repeat (I forgive everyone)seven times without recalling names, events or persons.

forgiving will free us from the burdens that block out spiritual path. When these blocks are removed, our physical and mental well being will undergo positive noticable improvements.

Wishing you and my self to have a free and light spirit.
